Dancing is my passion. When I discovered the joy of dancing, a whole new world opened up to me, and I love sharing that world with others. The movement can be sensual, elegant, sexy, fun, flirty, playful, exhilarating, breathtaking, passionate, or whatever feeling you want to put into it. My goal as a teacher is to find out what you want from dancing, and show you how to get that.
I dabbled with ballroom dancing in the mid-90s, but only in large group classes, and it was really difficult and frustrating for me to learn that way. In fact, I gave up after a few months. In 1999 I tried ballroom dancing again, this time with a combination of private and small group lessons. That was much more successful - that's when I fell in love with ballroom dancing and got hooked. I truly believe that private lessons (or very small group classes where you have plenty of opportunity to dance with the teacher) are critical to learning to dance any of the ballroom dances. I started teaching ballroom dancing in 2002 because I wanted to share my love of dancing with others and give back to the dance community. I also help couples choose danceable, meaningful songs for their special wedding dances at WeddingDanceSongs.net.
I became interested in pole dancing in 2005 when I heard about it as the latest fitness craze. I knew I had to try it. I went to a home pole dancing party in December 2005. It was an absolute blast, and shortly thereafter I started running my own parties. (See Pole Dance 4 Fun for more info.) I have discovered that many women secretly long to feel more sensual and seductive, but they don't know quite how to start. My pole parties and private lessons in exotic/sensual/pole dancing teach and encourage women to awaken their inner goddess and let her come out to play! Women leave feeling empowered, feminine, and full of energy!
